The Fondation Autisme Luxembourg has the pleasure to collaborate for the first time with Dr. Peter Vermeulen to hold a conference about autism. This very instructive conference will be held at the University of Luxembourg (Campus Belval).

Dr. Peter Vermeulen holds a PhD in psychology and educational sciences. He’s known worldwide for his expertise in developmental disorders and has published many articles about autism and the Asperger syndrome as well as books about the subject. He also gives theoretical and practical training courses on autism in many European countries, including one this year in Luxembourg.

Planning

Dr. Vermeulen will present two topics at the conference on 16 December 2023.

First half

Subject: “Autism and the predictive mind”. Dr. Vermeulen will explain the concept of absolute thinking.

Schedule: From 9:00am to 12:15 am (15 minutes break is foreseen)

Second half

Subject : “Autism and happiness” Dr. Vermeulen will explain his reflection on happiness in the spectrum of autism.

Schedule: From 13:15am to 16:30pm (15 minutes break is foreseen)

The conference will be held in English with simultaneous translation into French and Luxembourgish.

It’s possible to only take part in either the morning or the afternoon session.
