ASD without associated intellectual disability
For people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the notion of time can be difficult to understand and manage. The lack of time references can cause stress, anxiety an difficulties in the daily routine.
OBJECTIVES:
- explain how the perceptin of time can be differen for peole with ASD with an intellectual disability
- understand its consequences on daily life (wait, transitions, change of activities, rituals, ...)
- discover visual and concrete tools for time management (planners, pictograms, timers, visual routines)
- exchange between parents on difficulties and possible solutions
