Autism and sensory experiences — "I see, feel, and experience things differently than you do!"
DESCRIPTION:
During this workshop, we will discuss the sensory particularities of people with autism spectrum disorder.
We will search answers to the following questions:
- What are these particularities?
- How can these influence everyday life?
- How can they influence the behaviour of a person?
- How can we support people who have sensory particularities?
OBJECTIVES :
- Raise participants’ awareness of the sensory differences experienced by people with autism.
- Promote an understanding of how people with autism experience and process the world.
- Find ideas for supporting people with autism in relation to their sensory differences.
