Autism and the sensorial experience: "I see, feel and sense things differently than you do!"
DESCRIPTION :
This course will focus on the particularities of sensorial perception in people with an autistic spectrum disorder.
Through theory, practical experience and discussion, the course will answer the following questions:
- What are these particularities?
- How can they influence a person's behaviour?
- How do they affect everyday life?
- How can we support people with sensory impairments?
OBJECTIVES :
- To raise participants' awareness of the particularities of the sensory perception of people with ASD.
- To promote understanding of how people with ASD function
- To come up with ideas for supporting people with ASD in the context of their sensory particularities
