A NEW FOYER OPENS IN RAMBROUCH

The Fondation Autisme Luxembourg is pleased that it will open a new home in its premises in Rambrouch in October. On October 5th, unless unforeseen circumstances arise at the last minute, 6 new people with an autism spectrum disorder will start a new chapter in their lives.

While each person will have their own room as a private retreat, the 6 people will live together like a small family, eating together and sharing the housekeeping. In addition, they are accompanied 24h/24 and 7d/7 by the Foundation's educators, who support them in their everyday tasks and leisure activities.

But the new home also means a completely new chapter for the Foundation: 3 of the 6 people are still minors. It is for the first time that minors will move into a home of the FAL. This fact will not only bring further challenges to the employees, but also valuable experiences for them.

The employees of the foundation are aware that it is a significant step for the families to let their child out of the protective environment of the family and by letting them go a little bit. The FAL thanks them wholeheartedly for the big trust they show towards the foundation.

We would like to mention that the new residents will be received on October 5th by a restricted group consisting of the Foundation's staff and the members of the families. This will allow us to respect the prescribed hygiene measures that have been put in place to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of October 2020, the FAL will support throughout the e year 38 residents in its premises located in Munshausen and in Rambrouch. Are you willing to help a Luxembourg foundation that supports disabled people? You can support our activities with a donation.
